What is secular state.?

A secular state is a government or country that does not formally align itself with any particular religion or have any official state religion. In a secular state, the government operates independently of religious institutions and takes a neutral stance towards religious beliefs and practices. This means that all citizens, regardless of their beliefs, are treated equally under the law and have the freedom to practice their religion or not, without fear of persecution or discrimination. Some examples of secular states include France, India, Turkey, and the United States.
